Strong to the CORE
(Level: Moderate / Progressive)
Wednesdays at 5:30pm
Pilates exercises shine in the areas of functional fitness, core strengthening and spine mobilization. This challenging class teaches the classical Pilates exercises with a contemporary approach to create a strong body that is harmoniously integrated.
- Props Required: Mat or carpeted floor, towel for head; small ball or towel rolled up; (Optional: 2-5 lb hand weights).
- Why is this class beneficial? Joseph Pilates was ahead of his time in looking holistically at the body to create total health and well-being. Pilates exercise offers a balance of dynamic mobility and stability in all planes of motion, core strength and resilient muscles. Pilates, when done well, challenges the brain with the body, lengthens while strengthens, and energizes while creating a sense of calm.
Yamuna Body Rolling
(All Levels)
Fridays at 12:00
This is a full body method of melting away tension, releasing chronically tight muscles, and toning weak muscles. Using small 6-10" balls, we will systematically move through various muscle lines to create lasting length. And bonus, body rolling regularly will improve cellulite too!

This is a full body method of melting away tension, releasing chronically tight muscles, and toning weak muscles. Using small 6-10" balls, we will systematically move through various muscle lines to create lasting length. And bonus, body rolling regularly will improve cellulite too!
- Props Required: Mat or carpeted floor, Yamuna Body Rolling 6" inch ball (contact me for online ordering information).
- Why is this class beneficial? Chronically tight muscles limit your freedom of movement and this only gets worse as you age. Anyone who feels like they have always been super tight, will love body rolling for it's ability to maintain length in muscles better than stretching alone. Tight muscles pull on joints, and can cause pain and altered movement and gait mechanics. Stretching is often avoided since it isn't thought of as exercise, but it is just as important as cardiovascular, strength and balance training. Many people are stuck in the sympathetic fight or flight response these days, and this class offers an opportunity to not just release restrictions but to spend time focusing on deep breathing, while experiencing all of the benefits of immersing yourself in a parasympathetic state for one-hour.
- Please hydrate well before class! Body rolling will detoxify the body much as a massage would.
"I have always loved my in-studio Pilates classes with Tracy because her teaching style is so tailored to the individual needs of each participant in the class. Her focus on proper technique has enabled me to progress in a way that I have not been able to do with other instructors. I originally had my doubts about how effective virtual Pilates classes could be, but I am now an enthusiastic convert. Although I do miss the studio and the reformer, Tracy's virtual mat and tower classes are excellent and I continue to enjoy all of the benefits of her in-studio classes in the new virtual class setting. Each virtual class works my core, strengthens my legs and arms, and stretches and relaxes every muscle in my body. I feel revitalized after every class. Thank you!"

Feel the POWER
(Level: Moderate / Progressive)
TBD
This class was designed for everyone missing their Pilates equipment classes. Utilizing the Balanced Body Tower-on-the-Go with Pilates springs to mimic the Cadillac / Tower repertoire, this class delivers a full-body challenge.
- Props Required: Mat or carpeted floor, towel for head; Balanced Body Tower-on-the-Go with springs; solid door with space around it to move freely and safely in the direction the door closes. Please contact me for information on how to order your own Tower-on-the-Go.
- Why is this class beneficial? We are all feeling the effects of not attending classes with the equipment, so this is the next best thing to having a machine in your home with minimal space requirements. Adding resistance springs to your workouts will challenge your body in different ways than the mat work alone, creating the long, lean muscles Pilates is known for. After using Thera Bands and tubes most of this last year, it feels really great to work with the springiness of the Pilates springs again. It requires so much more work!
