TRACY FROHLICK
Tracy believes everyday is an opportunity for progress. Her passion for movement and her belief in the body’s ability to transform itself encompasses her holistic approach to help clients attain their goals.
Tracy has been involved in the study of movement since she was a child, training in dance for 18 years. Her study of dance therapy and various types of bodywork while at York University influenced her desire to teach movement re-education. She was certified in Pilates in 2000 with The Physicalmind Institute at Body Harmonics in Toronto under the training of Margot McKinnon and Susan Greskovitch. In 2001 Tracy certified in Yamuna Body Rolling, which has further informed her work towards muscle balancing and rehabilitation. In 2015 and 2016 Tracy studied Craniasacral Therapy with Robert Harris through the Cranial Therapy Centre. In 2018, Tracy obtained her Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Diploma with Body Harmonics.
Tracy continually expands her movement training by attending a variety of workshops and conferences each year. Included is her study of Pilates Based Rehabilitation, Breathing Mechanics, Pre & Post Natal Exercise, Pelvic Floor Conditioning and Low Back Pain. In the last three years, Tracy has focused her training on Neurophysiology and exercises specifically geared to those with Parkinson's Disease in order to best enhance motor control and sensorimotor functioning through exercise selection and progression.
Tracy loves to help people regain strength after injury or illness, and has seen how effective daily training is for someone who is bed-bound. Tracy’s excitement in her work comes from her love of dance and desire to increase people’s strength and ability to function without pain, making work and play easier and more enjoyable for them.
Tracy is currently enrolled at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition and is eager to help her clients sort through all of the misinformation about nutrition, in order to make the best individual choice for them. One size definitely does not fit all.
Tracy was a level 4+ Lead Pilates Instructor at the Adelaide Club located in the financial district when the pandemic hit. She is thrilled to be able to now offer virtual training to clients across Canada.
