Balance
Balance in your life is crucial to achieve true health. It is just as important to relax, as it is to challenge yourself. This is why a mind-body workout is so effective. While toning your body, you are also toning your mind, which brings about a meditative state that releases tension.
You will leave class mentally relaxed and physically energized.
Strength
True strength comes from a strong center (stomach, back, glutes), which provides stability to your limbs. Too much strength in any muscle group only means the opposing muscle group will likely be weak and prone to injury. Mindful exercises balance the muscles by activating the weak and relaxing the strong.
Push the entire body.
Quality vs. Quantity
It is important to maintain the integrity of each movement to prevent injury. Performing only a few repetitions of an exercise correctly is more beneficial than continuing, but losing correct form.
It should never be painful.
No More Slouching
Good posture is essential to an efficient body that is pain-free. Simple exercises can eliminate pain and start to correct postural problems, such as those associated with the chronically slouched posture of computer users and office workers.
Stand Tall.
Everyday Activities
What you learn in class will naturally begin to transfer over to your everyday activities. You will suddenly be able to balance while tying your shoe, lifting your child will be much easier as your core strength improves, and carrying heavy groceries a few blocks won't leave you sore. You will find you begin to sigh less, handle stress calmly, and have energy to enjoy the little things.
And that is what life's about!
